Why, mr. President, do you keep struggling against the Russian advances along the line of contact in the Donbas? If you stop fighting and negotiate with the Russians then you will no longer have to continue retreating, but will be able to establish fixed boundaries. Had you gone through with the agreement you negotiated in March 2022 to end the war, Ukraine's borders would still be as they were before 23 February 2022. But you abandoned that opportunity and look where you are now! And where you will likely be further pushed back each new day going forward? Cut your losses. Get on with building a peaceful, neutral Ukraine which is friendly to both The West and Russia. The longer this mess goes on, the harsher Russia's conditions for ending it will become, as we have seen recently. Russia, and its President, are not the enemy of Ukraine or its people. What they cannot accept is the threat of a NATO Ukraine on their Western border, just like the United States could not accept Soviet missiles in Cuba in 1962.
