This painting is included not so much for what it looks likeas for what it represents. It shows the infant Jesu being offered a safe but interesting objct for him to explore and decide what he things and feels about it. This is what I (BMcC[18-11-46-503]) should have had in my childrearing. Instead the adolts tried to indoctrinate me with their unreflected prejudices about things: they tried to stuff their worthless "values" down my throat. They tried to coerce me toe like them instead of letting, etter: encouraging me to be me.
